DNA Creative Communications Welcomes AAF Intern Alexis Mood

Greenville, S.C. (June 15, 2011)- DNA Creative Communications welcomes Alexis Mood, an intern with the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Greenville’s Minority High School Internship program. This is the fourth consecutive year that DNA has participated in the program as a host agency. Mood is a graduate of Riverside High School and will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall of 2011. At USC, Mood plans to major in journalism with a minor in marketing.

The American Advertising Federation of Greenville offers an internship to minority high school students in Greenville County who demonstrate academic excellence. In order to be considered for this opportunity, the student must submit a completed application with teacher recommendations, write a required essay, and participate in a phone interview. The intern is exposed to five different agencies during the first week and chooses one of the five agencies to return to for the entire second week. While visiting the five agencies, the student gains hands-on experience in all aspects of the communications field. This way, the student is able to better understand what kind of career he or she would like to pursue.
